Hello and welcome to aNadventures!

I’m aNa, a language loving German with Colombian roots. I created this blog in August 2012, shortly before moving to Izmir, Turkey, for my one and a half year study abroad adventure.

Apart from my passion for earrings, chocolate (ok, any food) and giraffes, I’m very much interested in exploring different cultures and in getting to know the world around me.

The center of my attention has been mainly focused on Turkey but I intend to report from wherever life may take me. I’m currently based in Berlin, my home town of choice.

If you’re visiting my blog for the first time, you can start by having a look at my personal favourites:

You know you have been in Turkey for a while when…

An Unusual POV

Also make sure to check out my series called Turkish Daylights which captures all those little things related to Turkish everyday life.

I hope you enjoy my aNadventures. See you around!
